Chandigarh, April 24- The Chairman of Tata Group, Mr Cyrus Pallonji Mistry, has offered to help Haryana Government in its ambitious project of construction of two lakh houses for the poor. He has also shown interest to extend cooperation in areas of fertilizer and agriculture.
Mr Cyrus Pallonji Mistry had called on Mr Hooda at his residence here today.
Mr Hooda apprised him that providing affordable housing to the weaker sections of the society is one of the major priorities of the Government. The ambitious housing scheme known as “Priyadarshini AwaasYojna” aims at facilitating housing delivery in rural areas to the eligible families under Indira Awaas Yojna and other poor families including those who have been allotted 100 sq. yards plots and have no house or have a kutcha house, by providing them financial assistance.
Initially, two lakh families are to be covered in the project span of two years that is financial years 2013-14 and 2014-15.
The Chief Minister also informed him about the significant achievements made by Haryana in various fields of development and the future projects of the State.
