Haryana has setup a flood helpline number

Chandigarh -Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Bhupinder Singh Hooda has offered to extend full support to the State of Uttrakhand. which has recently been ravaged by rain, landslides and floods.Haryana Chief Minister Mr Bhupinder Singh Hooda has already sent a grant of Rs. 10 crore to Uttarakhand to help the state in its rescue and relief operations.

Chief Secretary, Haryana has been asked to be in constant touch with Chief Secretary, Uttrakhand for assisting them in supplementing the relief measures. Uttrakhand administration has been requested to intimate the locations, where the relief material is to be dispatched. These materials would include providing tents, transport, medicines, blankets, cloths, food packets, mobile generating sets, fuel and other emergency supplies.

The Haryana government has also setup a helpline number +91-172-2545938 at its control room to give updates, receive and disseminate information on the whereabouts of stranded people belonging to the state of Haryana.

A team of civil and police officials has already been deputed to be stationed at Dehradun to provide help to the people from Haryana who have been stranded at various places in affected areas. This team will make transport arrangements for sending them back to their respective destinations in the State.This team will be coordinating with the Uttrakhand Administration in rescuing and providing necessary help and assistance to the stranded people from Haryana. This team will also help relatives in locating stranded and missing people from Haryana. The team will be headed by Mr P.K.Das, IAS,Principal Secretary, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Haryana(+91-9814213797) and will comprise revenue and police officials. The team will be in touch with the Control Room set up at Chandigarh. Mr Krishan Mohan, IAS, Financial Commissioner, Revenue will supervise overall arrangements in this regard.
