SHE Forum is working to provide entrepreneurial training to women
Amritsar - PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized for the first time those women businessmen who have been coming here for many years and exhibiting their products were honoured. During the event held at PITEX. Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori wife I. R.S.Officer Dr. Gagan Kundan Thori, Dr. Tarundeep Kaur I.R. lS., Dr. Kanchan Garg I.R.S. honoured the women entrepreneurs by arriving as the chief guest.
Speaking on this occasion regional director of PHDCCI Bharti sood said the number of women exhibiting their products at Pitex is constantly increasing. This time also 35 percent of the total stalls are owned by women entrepreneurs. These also include women's self-help groups operating in Punjab, Himachal, Jammu and Kashmir. He said that the products of women entrepreneurs have got a new identity through this event.
Business woman Raj Kumari, who runs a rewari business, Ishani Batra a florist entrepreneur, Azra who is coming here from Thailand, Ripti Tuteja who runs an electric blanket business, Silkiana Malhotra director of Quality Garden Center, Shruti Goyal who runs a pickle-chutney business, Harjinder Kaur who runs a self-help group and Shweta Kapoor a painting seller were honored.
On this occasion, Tina Aggarwal, regional coordinator of SHE Forum said that while the forum is providing a good platform to women entrepreneurs, their products have got a new recognition at the global level. On this occasion, co-convener of SHE Forum Meena Singh, Sargun Sachdev and many dignitaries were present.
