The state government was committed to curb corruption and would frame strict laws in future to eradicate it completely. This was stated by Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu while addressing a public meeting at Fatehpur in Kangra district today where he dedicated 14 developmental projects worth Rs. 232 crore to the people of Fatehpur.

While addressing a public meeting in Chowari, the Chief Minister announced the opening of Civil Court, DSP office, Mini Secretariat, Fire Officer post and Post Graduate College at Chowari of Bhatiyat AC. He announced Rs. 4 crore for the feasibility report of Chamba Chowari Tunnel. He said that a new division of Jal Shakti Department will be opened for Bhatiyat and the division of Jal Shakti Department will remain in Dalhousie.

Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu flagged off 15 Tippers of Public Works Department from Chaura Maidan Shimla today. One tipper will be provided to B&R Division Shimla, one to Bhabhanagar, two each to Rampur, Kalpa, Rohru, Jubbal and Kotkhai Divisions and three to Nirmand division.

A compensation of more than Rs. 14 crore today was distributed to the disaster-affected families of Hamirpur district under the 'Punrvaas' Scheme, by Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu at Hamirpur today. It is pertinent to mention here that the August Monsoons wreaked havoc in the State leading to the mass destruction of both public and private properties besides the loss of human lives.  He provided rupees three lakhs each as the first instalment to 122 families whose houses were completely damaged totaling Rs. 3.66 crore.
