NMIMS Chandigarh Announces Narsee Monjee Half Marathon 2024

Chandigarh  – NMIMS Chandigarh held a press conference on March 1, 2024, at press club to announce the eagerly anticipated second edition of the Narsee Monjee Half Marathon 2024, slated to take place on March 10, 2024.  This year, the theme of the marathon is ‘Mental-Wellbeing’ and is dedicated to promoting physical wellness, building a spirit of community, fostering team spirit and celebrating achievements.

 

The press conference began with Dr. Jaskiran Kaur, Campus Director, NMIMS Chandigarh, giving a virtual tour of the campus to the media representatives while academic heads, Dr. Rashmi Nagpal (School of Law), Dr. Jyotsna Singh (School of Technology Management and Engineering) and Dr. Naimitya Sharma (School of Commerce) provided an overview of the three schools on the campus respectively.

The Student Council members representing the three schools, Dhruv Kapoor and Anmol Chohan (SoC), Priyanshi Grover and Pragya Singh (SoL) and Raghav Yogi and Neha Sachdeva (STME), shared highlights of the mega-successful marathon held last year.  They also unveiled the T-shirt and the cash prize poster.  

 

The press conference saw the unveiling of the various categories of the Narsee Monjee Half Marathon 2024. It will cater to various age groups and fitness levels, with participants having the option to choose from the 5 km run, 10 km run, and the challenging 21.5 km Half Marathon categories. Meanwhile, the elite runners participating in this marathon include Munish Jauhar, Yogesh Gera, Anmol Chandan, Surinder Gulia, Amit Birwal, Alok Yadav, Rajiv Batra, Manu Yadav, Ishita Sareen, Nisha Garg, Tri-City Runners (TCR), Chandigarh Distance Runners (CDR), The Run Club (TRC) and SkechersGoRun Club (GRC).

 

The organizers of the press conference also took a moment to mention the sponsors for their generous support and shared commitment towards promoting mental well-being.

 

Meanwhile, participants of the marathon can expect various support services ranging from T-shirts, finisher medals, and timing bibs, to hydration, nutrition support, and medical and

 

Physiotherapy assistance. Additionally, finishers will be facilitated with e-certificates and memorable race photos to celebrate their achievements, while exciting cash prizes, trophies, and gift hampers await the winners across each category, motivating participants to give their best.
