Chandigarh - 'Shri Ram Kala Utsav' was organized by Chandigarh Sangeet Natak Akademi at Tagore Theatre, Sector 18, Chandigarh. Governor of Punjab and Administrator UT Chandigarh Banwari Lal Purohit was the chief guest in this festival alongwith Rajeev Verma Advisor to the Administrator Hari kallikat Secretary Culture and Sorabh Arora Director Culture were also present during the occasion.
In the program, about 25 Ramlila committees organizing Ramlila in different sectors of Chandigarh were honored by the Governor. The Governor expressed gratitude to all the Ramlila organizing committees for their significant contribution in preserving and promoting Indian ancient art. He acknowledged their efforts and emphasized the importance of their role in cultural preservation.
During the event, four presentations related to 'Shri Ram' were presented on the stage. In which the audience was mesmerized by showing the scene of 'Ram's exile', the poignant scene of 'Kevat Leela', the scene of 'Ram Shabari Bhakti' and the emotional scene of 'Ram's return to Ayodhya'. Finally the event ended with the Aarti of Shri Ram Ji.
