550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji celebrated at sky world school

Panchkula - To mark the 550th birth anniversary of Sikhism's founder Guru Nanak Dev Ji-a Guru of all and to teach and instil his teachings among students, the sky School put remarkable efforts. "Kirat Karo, Vand Chako, te Naam Japo" --the three main principles which Guru Nanak wanted to accede in life.

The celebrations commenced two days prior when the students from Kindergarten to grade III visited Shri Nada Sahib Gurudwara for the 'darshan' , Class IV - VIII students were shown a documentary on the life of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji followed by a quiz competition. Last but not the least class IX & X students volunteered 'Langar' for the students, staff members as well as supporting staff under their 'SEWA project' where all the students and staff members contributed for this selfless service and thus got a lesson to be united and one before Almighty despite of their caste, creed or religion.

The director Principal Smt. Santosh Bhandari felt overwhelmed to address the assemblage as she elucidated the 'Mool Mantra' and counselled to practise it in their day to day life.
