Chandigarh - Government College of Education, Sector 20D, Chandigarh organized its 65th Annual Convocation in the college premises today. Around 100 B.Ed. and M.Ed. students were conferred upon the degrees during this convocation by the Chief Guest Banwarilal Purohit, Governor, Punjab & Administrator, U.T. Chandigarh in the presence of Guests of Honor Rajeev Verma, Advisor to the Administrator, Chandigarh and  Abhijit Vijay Chaudhari, Secretary, Education, Chandigarh Administration.

Panchkula  - Deputy Commissioner Yash Garg said that appropriate precautionary measures have been taken to mitigate the ill effects of heat wave conditions. He said that all the business organizations, brick kiln union and poultry farm in the district have been instructed to make adequate arrangements to protect their workers from heat and also to ensure the facility of drinking water at respective institutions.
