Delhi - Jaguar, the British luxury car maker, has launched its most affordable F-Type in India yet. F-type, a model which is known for its speed, precision and the performance on the road, has been criticized by Indian enthusiasts for being completely overpriced, as is every other imported luxury car in the country. With this new model, Jaguar has attempted to undercut its rivals in the market. Even though the new model is cheaper, it is quite a powerful carin Jaguar’s lineup, which includes luxury sedans under it as well.This 2.0-litre Jaguar F-type is the same vehicle that Jaguars sells in International market, like the US.
The highlight of the car is that it can reach from 0 kmph to 100 kmph in a span of just 6.56 seconds. It not only has the performance, the luxury as well, offering great interiors with topmost comfort, safety, and infotainment. It is a two-door coupe and convertible styled car.'

Previous F-type models came with either a 3-litre V6 or a 5-litre V8, both being a bit too expensive to be popular in India. However, with the dawn of 2019, Jaguar Land Rover has opted for smaller, less expensive engines for India too. The new Jaguar F-Type model is launched with a 4-cylinder turbocharged ‘Ingenium’ petrol engine, designed to produce 296 bhp and the torque of 400 Nm. The base model of the car is now priced at just under 90 Lakhs, while the convertible retails for 1 crore.
The car used to be a dream for the Jaguar Land Rover fans in India, but was too farfetched to be true. Now that the company has the engine option for India too, it will be able to cater to the needs of the car enthusiasts who do not have a hefty budget to buy a sports car but at the same time, are looking for something decent in the price range. Coming to the specifications and the performance of the car, the car can hit from 0 kmph to 100 kmph in the span of 5.7 seconds. The top speed of the car is electronically limited to 250 kmph for safety reasons. The Ingenium petrol engine is responsible for the low weight of the car which otherwise could have been more in case of any other engine being used. The car is lighter by 52 kgs because of the incorporation of the Ingenium engine in the chest. This mainly helps the four-cylinder version of the car. The weight saving is most effective on the front axle of the car and thus, the agility of the car and the handling can be enhanced exponentially. Jaguar Land Rover has also tweaked the chassis of the car. It has been designed in such a way that it complements the engine and also, increases the comfort of steering and the ride comfort during the long journeys.
The entry-level variant of the car is specifically designed to cater to the needs of the customers who are willing to pay the price of around INR 1 crore. However, there are higher versions with the better specs such as the power delivery of 335 bhp and 450 Nm torque. This variant of the car uses the 3.0L Supercharged V6 engine. As we go higher, the specs become better. The F-type model with higher specs features the 5.0L Supercharged V8 engine. The engine produces 567 bhp and the torque of 700 Nm. It is mated with the 7-speed automatic transmission. The top speed of the car is stabilized at 377 kmph and it can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in the span of 3.7 seconds.
