Panchkula - The students of theSKYworldschool, Sector 21, Panchkula enthralled their parents in the magnificent Annual Function 'Radiance 2017' on 9th December 2017 through various art forms: drama, dance and singing. They exhibited their talent, dazzled on the stage and mesmerized the audience with their brilliant performances.

SKY world School students won 7 Medal at Khel Mahakumbh

Panchkula - Nikhil and Himanshu of class 10, Bhumit of class 8 Vatsal of class 7 and Vanshika and Aranaya of class 4 and Tanzil class 1 of the SKY world school, Panchkula  have made the school  proud by bagging medals in Taekwondo competition at Khel Mahakumbh organized at Tau Devi Lal Stadium,sec 3 panchkula on 13th October.

The Sky world school organised English Elocution Competition

Panchkula - An English Elocution Competition of students of theSKYworld school from classes 6 to 10 was held in the school campus. Students debated on different topics like Uniforms should not be compulsory in the school, mobile phones should be allowed in the school and other such interesting topics.

Chandigarh gets its first Underground Garbage Bin

Chandigarh - Big bins surrounded by heaps of garbage will soon be a thing of past for Chandigarh as installation of first underground bin begins in Shastri Market, Sector -22 Chandigarh. This bin is being donated to Municipal Corporation Chandigarh (MCC) by Lion Services Limited as a part of its CSR program and the foundation stone for same was laid by area councilor, Mr. Ravikant Sharma.

CBSE Class 10 results: P'kula region's pass percentage remains unchanged at 98.1

At 98.1%, the overall passing ratio remained changed from last year for the Panchkula region - comprising Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Chandigarh - in the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class-10 examination, the results of which were declared on Saturday. The ratio is better than the national average of 90.95%.

Earth Day Celebration by school students

Panchkula - Students of The Sky School celebrated ‘The Earth Day’ by organizing a Community Havan ceremony in their campus. Students of classes 6th to 9th sought the blessings from The Mother Earth for the entire mankind’s wellbeing and repented for misusing the natural recourses. The local residents also participated in it.

Seminar organized for consumer awareness on World Consumer Rights Day

Chandigarh - To mark the occasion of World Consumer Rights Day, the Department of Food & Supplies and Consumer Affairs & Legal Metrology, U.T., Chandigarh in collaboration with the Consumers Association, Chandigarh today organized a seminar at U.T. Guest House, Chandigarh for the awareness of the consumers about their rights, duties and references to the protection of the consumer interests against any kind of exploitation by the trade and industry. Sh. V.P. Singh Badnore, Governor of Punjab and Administrator, U.T., Chandigarh was the chief guest on this occasion.

Rana elected Chandigarh Press Club president

Chandigarh - Mr. Jaswant Singh Rana was today elected as president of the Chandigarh Press Club by defeating incumbent Balwinder Singh Jammu with a margin of seven votes.  Elections to six of the nine posts of the governing council were held in which 426 voters out of the 576 cast their votes, Returning Officer Sham Singh said.

Lohri Celebrations in Sky world school

Panchkula - Students and Teachers of the school celebrated the festival of fulfillment with great zeal and fervor. Students attended special assembly and watched PPT on the festival to know about the festival in detail. Senior students harvested their crops that they had rooted in the season in their ECO club and distributed to the teachers and the Principal.

Christmas celebrations by school students

Panchkula - All the students and staff of the Sky world school celebrated Christmas with enthusiasm and zeal. The Santa Claus visited all classes and distributed chocolates. Students enjoyed the visit of Santa Claus. Senior students cut the Christmas cake and serve cake to Santa Claus. Students watched PPT on Christmas.

Chandigarh - United Nations recently launched a worldwide ‘Orange the World’ campaign against gender-based violence. Heeding to UN secretary general Ban Ki-Moon’s appeal to “come into action whenever you witness violence against women and girls” a group of thoughtful individuals came together here today to sensitize people against domestic violence.

Students visit Nada Sahib Gurudwara to seek blessings

Panchkula - Students of the SKY world school went to Nada Sahib Gurudwara to seek blessings of the God to mark the Birth Anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Students watched PPT on the life and teachings of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Students had lots of questions to ask and age appropriate answers were given to the students. The SKY learning system cultivates curiosity in the students and it is tangible in the questions of the students, and is important to channelize the thinking process of the students towards courage and righteousness.
