Punjab Government instructs teachers to apply online for National Teacher Award
Chandigarh - The Punjab Government has directed the teachers to apply online for the National Teachers Award-2019.
Disclosing this here today a spokesperson of the Education Department said that Director (SS) Mr. Sukhjit Pal Singh has issued an order in this regard to the teachers. He asked them to register themselves on line on http://mhrd.gov.in and http://nationalawardstoteachers.mhrd.gov.in till 6th July, 2020. All school principals, incharge and regular teachers can apply for this award.

PWD minister Vijay Inder Singla announces construction of new road to commemorate sacrifice of Gurbinder Singh
Chandigarh - On the Bhog ceremony of martyr Gurbinder Singh, Punjab Public Works Minister Mr. Vijay Inder Singla announced to construct a new road from Tolawal village to Jakhepal via martyr’s home to commemorate his sacrifice for the nation. The cabinet minister informed that the estimate for the 3-km long road stretch has been prepared by the PWD and it has been sent for sanction from the government. He added that it would cost around Rs. 1 crore.

PUNJAB CS ASKS DCS TO WORK TOWARDS BRINGING STATE’S COVID MORTALITY RATE DOWN

Sample testing of Covid-19 suspects in Punjab goes up to 800 tests per day: D.K. Tiwari
Chandigarh - The Punjab government has purchased 5 additional RTPCR and 4 RNA extraction machines to conduct Covid-19 tests. The Machines have been installed in two of its VRDL (Viral Research Diagnostic Lab) labs situated at Government Medical Colleges, Patiala and Amritsar. Now the capacity of each lab to conduct the sample testing of suspected COVID-19 suspects has been increased from existing 40 tests per day to 400 tests per day.
